HOW TO REPLACE A TUB SPOUT

Inox Brushed Stainless Steel Single Lever Basin Tap

Bathtubs allow homeowners to unwind and relax before or after a hard day at work. These tubs must have a spout that allows water into the tub to function correctly.

The tub spout is usually the one responsible for this task. These spouts protrude from the wall. With the flick of a tap handle, they allow warm water to flow freely into the bathtub.

These components can become worn over time, which can lead to leaks. Sometimes they may become out of date and cause a problem with their appearance. It doesn't matter what the reason is, homeowners can replace their tub spouts with a simple DIY project.

PREPARING FOR THE JOB

Before replacing a tub spout, prepare yourself for the task.

The following tools and supplies are needed:

• Basic wrench

• Teflon tape

• Silicone sealant

• The replacement tub spout

Next, turn off the water supply to the bathroom. You can also grab a towel to put in the tub to catch any water that has escaped during installation.
